Lincolnshire Tourism’s Media Team aims to raise awareness of the county regionally, nationally and internationally; as well as highlighting local tourism news within the county’s press.

 

 Why is media coverage important?

 

Media coverage is an important marketing tool because research shows editorial coverage can be seven times more powerful than adverts.

 

If a journalist mentions a tourism business, attraction or event in a written article this usually results in more people visiting than just using adverts alone.

 

This is why media relations and the resulting independent endorsements are so important to a visitor destination like Lincolnshire.
